Privacy Policy

The short version: everything you type into our tools stays in your browser. Standard website traffic, aggregate analytics, and product-image lookups can leave your device as described below. This page spells out exactly what that means, because a privacy policy that glosses over its own analytics is not worth the click.

Product image lookups

On pages with Amazon product cards, the site may send the card's ASIN and this site's origin to PeptideClock's product-media resolver at product-media.pyralislabs.io. The resolver returns a current Amazon-hosted image URL when one is available; your browser then requests that image directly from Amazon's media domain. The lookup does not include calculator inputs, account data, or a visitor identifier created by PeptideClock. As with any web request, the resolver and Amazon receive ordinary connection information such as your IP address and browser headers. If either request fails, the text and product link remain available without an image.

Your tool data never reaches us

PeptideClock has no user accounts and no server-side database. The peptides you select, the reconstitution dates you enter, and the vials you track in the dashboard are stored in your browser's localStorage on your own device. That data is never transmitted to PeptideClock or to anyone else, and we could not read it if we wanted to — the site is served as static files. Clearing your browser's site data for peptideclock.com deletes it permanently, which also means we cannot recover it for you.

Analytics we do run: Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, which pages are visited and how the site performs. This works the way it does on most websites: Google's script (gtag.js) sets cookies in your browser and reports page views, approximate location derived from your connection, device and browser type, page performance timings, and clicks on outbound product links. It does not see the contents of your calculator or dashboard — those inputs are separate from analytics and stay local as described above. Google processes this data under its ownprivacy policy, and you can block it with any standard content blocker or with Google'sopt-out browser add-onwithout affecting how the tools work.

Affiliate links

Some pages link to lab and handling supplies on Amazon through the Amazon Associates program. Those links include an affiliate tag. If you follow one, Amazon opens under its own privacy policy and may set its own cookies; product-image requests that can occur before a click are described above. We record the click itself as an anonymous analytics event so we know which product placements are useful, but nothing about who clicked.
